The Friendship Force of Perth prepared an exchange program packed with lots of sightseeing of historical and natural destinations, and opportunities to get up close and personal with indigenous animals and ancient cultures in this Southern Hemisphere equivalent of the Wild West. Optional add-ons are being planned for both pre- and post-exchange. A 3-day southwest ramble south of Perth (where the Indian and Southern Oceans converge) departs from the city on Sunday morning, the 18th, returning in time to begin the homestay on the 20th. An extension to the East Coast’s Great Barrier Reef and Kuranda Rainforest at Cairns, plus a visit to Sydney, with its iconic Opera House and inviting harbor and beaches, will keep us busy from April 27 to May 4.
